If your pet does not need a Full Grooming Service or Basic Grooming Service yet, you can opt for individual services to cater to the needs of your pets. For example, you might want to bring him in to get his nails trimmed and filed, as a  dogs nail trimming has to be done more often because their nails grow faster than their fur.

 

Note: If you intend to use 2 or more of the below services, we recommend you opt for a Basic Grooming for your furry one instead as it would be more cost effective.

  • Nail Trimming and Filing
  • Trimming your dog’s nails up to the edge of the kwik (blood vessel). Filing will be done to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Benefits: Regular trimming prevents injury and broken nails, prevents misalignment of their tow and paw joints. ensures that our pet dogs are able to walk around comfortably.
  • Ear Cleaning and Plucking
  • Cleaning their ear by removing wax, debris and fur in their ears.
  • Benefits: Prevents build-up of wax and infection, itchiness, discomfort in their ear. It also helps to improve hearing and flush out mites and ticks that flocks to their ear.
  • For dogs with yeasty ears and mites, cleaning has to be done more regularly to prevent your dog from scratching their outer ears too much.
  • Ear Flushing
  • Ear Flushing may be necessary for dogs who have excessive yeast or ear mites. This is done by introducing mild ear cleaner or ear drop then massaging the ears. Thereafter, to prevent infection, the earns have to be cleaned and cleared out thoroughly with soft cotton to absorb any remnants of the liquid.
  • Benefits: Helps to clear the debris and remove the source of itch.
  • Anal Expression
  • Cleaning rectal glands located around their anus should be done regularly. In contrast to popular belief that we should leave the glands alone, it is important for us to clear the glands regularly as our pets have lost their ability to clean their anal glands with domestication. Therefore, it is important for pet owners to clear the anal glands to prevent infection and impaction.
  • Note: In an event that we encounter an anal gland that is already impacted (hardened), we would suggest you to visit an veterinary instead to ensure proper handling by veterinary professionals.
  • Brush Teeth
  • Done to maintain their teeth.
  • Benefits: Prevent odor, plaque and tartar accumulation.
  • Note: If there is excessive tartar or stain, we would advice you to visit a veterinary to do scaling to prevent infection of the gums. This is because veterinarians are more professional and have the equipment and are trained to handle such invasive procedures.
  • Eye and Face Trim
  • This is done to ensure that their appearance is neat.
  • It is also important to trim fur around their eyes as it could cause permanent discomfort and pain of inturned eyelids or even physical damage such as corneal ulceration.
  • Pawpads Shaving
  • Removing excess fur from the underside of your dog’s paw to.
  • Benefits: Reduce the risk of mats building up between them. It also allows them to feel more cooling and ensure stable footing.
  • Belly and Sanitary
  • Shaving off the hair around belly and anal area.
  • Benefits: Helps to keep your pet cool, maintain high hygiene standards as it prevents traps for urine, faeces dirt, associated bacteria and odors.
